siem reap: sightseeing

got bored of angkor park and hence, for the 2nd day in siem reap, we went to tonle sap lake which is an outskirt of town. this lake, the largest freshwater lake in se asia took abt 1-hr tuk-tuk ride.

one of many shabby wooden houses in siem reap. it looks more like a hut.

reaching tonle sap floating village. this is their floating futsal court.

floating school which is sponsored by foreign gov/ngo, the basic amenities here are mostly sponsored by the japanese, korean and german.

boo!! i can be very self-obsessed, i told you!!

the cambodians hav good reasons to be proud of angkor wat. even their national flag features this ancient temple.

i cant differentiate beruk, monyet, kera, whatnot and whatnot!!

on a boat tour.

the kids here are just 天生天养, to translate it to manglish, it should be "born to survive by themselves?"

the refugee settlement, so the guide said.

floating church.

mama got ripped off, buying some books and stationery at this floating village. the books cost 15usd.

kids at floating village.

look at this. so i said, msian kids are totally spoilt for choice compared wiv them in cambodia.

silk farm.

listening to our guide.

some natural dye materials.

asking and asking, but i din buy anything.

silk weaving loom.

papa wiv rifle.

boys are always boys.

output from his readings: most of the military equipments here were from the then soviet union and china.

as if he knows every detail of these weapons.

papa gearing the tank.
